    1. I was asking about 21a

      Essex empty is ex and empty partly is empt that gives exempt.. therefore, I was wondering if empty was meant to do a double role

  4. 29A {DESTINED} = Bound : {ED} over {IT ENDS*}

  5. I have a suggestion to encourage/help those who want to develop the art of setting puzzles. We can invite members of this blog to identify one or more words and set clues and post them. Veterans of this group can give their views and suggestions. It is my interaction with Chaturvasi sir that helped me with my first puzzle published as a Sunday special last month. Hence this idea.

  6. Answers flowed in at a steady pace though not at Lightning speed. Enjoyed it. Costa Rica and aspersion are the highlights.

  7. After TIFFIN the TOP ORDER sat down to FINE TUNE their Manifesto. An ABUNDANCE of promises.

    Will the electorate be PLEASED?
    Will we ENDEAR ourselves?
    Will our efforts turn FUTILE?

    Let us begin our ONSLAUGHT and try to ENNOBLE ourselves...Should we talk about that ATROCITY?

    A thousand questions! Let us wait for the outcome!
