Gridman had mentioned to me a few
ReplyDeletedays ago that due to his frail health he was calling it a day from setting CWs for The Hindu and as Arden has appeared today instead of Gridman it appears that Gridman has really retired.
I will be setting up a separate post in a little while where all of you can post your thoughts about Gridman and wish him well and hope that he will get back to setting, something that he has been doing for the last so many yearsm
Yes,I missed him in the morning when I saw Arden's CW. A bad miss. Hope to see his CW again in the near future.

ReplyDeleteThe IA version is found from bad to worst.
ReplyDeleteAfter the upgrade, it has been impossible to know who the setter is and if we have landed on the today/current crossword.
Today it took me to 9th May 2020, incognito and I duly solved it and was surprised to see Arden on the blog.
Not planning to renew it.
I cannot access the IA version here ...so had to go to e-paper and download the pdf, take print out and solve pen on paper
