ReplyDelete21d how ia it DD? The first part is etymology of redress the def!
ReplyDeleteNot in the strictest sense. Redress=reparation, re-dress = put on clothes again. But many times in crosswords the hyphen is ignored. That's what comes to my mind.
Delete26A : armchair -armchair(support)experts-experts with no practical experience.

Thanx Kishore!
Can someone explain 31A to me? What is "fake diamonds" doing in the clue?
ReplyDeleteFake diamonds are called Pastes or Paste jobs
ReplyDeleteFake diamonds are synthetic or simulated diamonds that imitate real diamonds, while paste is a type of glass that's cut and polished to resemble diamonds.
ReplyDeleteApparently there is a slight technical difference.
