    Quality should have been quantity, as amount is not quality.

  3. Clue 1dn defies anno. Ignoring that, I have a question: what does 'top up' really mean?
    As far as I know, to top up means "to add an amount in a glass of beer, etc, to bring it back up to a reasonable or the original level".
    Does it mean 'to finish drink'? Shouldn't we be accurate?

    You are right about Top up, I had first put down 'STAYS UP' to match 'Defers retirement' though it does not make any sense with 'in order to finish drink' but then I couldn't get any thing to match 9A starting with 'A'in place of 'OPEN CUT'
