  2. Arran I must have come across first when I read the play Riders to the Sea, an excellent play by J M Synge. A short one that brings to the fore the agonies of fishermen.

  3. The PLUS part of 25 bewilders me too.

    We sometimes say 400 plus to mean it's 400 and take some more with it. Plus there perhaps means 400 at least. Forget the extras, you have 400 at least.

    I googled and found there was an Archbishop of Canterbury named LANG, TRY comes from 'shot' and of course there is an actress LANGTRY
