ReplyDeleteWell Thumbs up.
Extra points for brining up Mr Threepwood in 12a.
Kishore
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you're fishy!
CV, u smelt it.
ReplyDeleteToday is S'h'am Browne Belt day !
ReplyDeleteOh my... Initially I didn't understand what you meant. But when I thought of a possible reason for the low response here and came to record it, I got it!
ReplyDeleteCV 954, the first step, of course, is to unravel a cat's cradle !
ReplyDeleteSir Richard has just broken into the Golconda Fort!
ReplyDeleteSometimes Kishore's puzzles are a little more difficult than THC.It took a while for me to connect to the fact that Richard is in Hyd.Nice way of putting it.PGW way of putting things in 'long hand'when you are paid by the word!
ReplyDeleteHe may be told something by a little bird...
ReplyDeleteDid he assuault the fort with a special missile?
ReplyDeletePadmanabhan@11:11. Kishore is quite incomprehensible much of the time. No wonder he is happily married for so long.
ReplyDeleteSuresh@11.59-
ReplyDeleteMan to his lawyer-"I need a divorce,my wife has not spoken to me for 6 months."
Lawyer-"Better have second thoughts.Such wives are very rare indeed!"
I am happily married for nearly 40 years because I go by what the sacred book says!
ReplyDeleteCV, you, me and Deepak (and the non resident Shridhar Iyer, possibly) follow Gita-upadesha.
ReplyDeleteWe are all happily marred.
See, no ego at all, no i in married.
He may be told something by a little bird...
ReplyDeleteAs reported by SR, Hyd is a place where sparrows and microwave towers co-exist. The bird which informed me is one of the latter.
Although I got to it only late in the day, the puzzle was enjoyable. Much like how it was the last time around. Looking forward to Arden's Monday offering.
ReplyDeleteThis crossword was Sankaloid in that it did not take much time to complete and was satisfying at the same time.
ReplyDeleteHere I have uploaded a blog on a topic that I promised my readers the last time:
ReplyDeletehttp://cgrishi.wordpress.com/2011/08/13/setters-as-celebrities/
Kishore,
ReplyDeleteAs reported by SR, .....
The correspondent is Richard the Lionheart from his Vijaya Yatra to the city of Nizams and Pearls, and the report would have gladdened Dr Salim Ali were he alive today.
Sankaloid is almost making it to the popular vernacular now, it seems, kind of like what hoovering or googling have come to mean. Curious if there were words to coin for other setters' styles? Gridmanical does not sound right though..
ReplyDeleteSuggestions:
