  5. 6A is NUTS. Apparently there is a movie by that name. Googled it

  6. I thought 15A would be ROLL, not ROLE. Depends on how you read it, I guess

  7. I had also put in 'roll'.
    14A-men leaving-'or'? Cant get it.

  8. Woke up late and had to go out early also, moreover I did not like Gridman's offering today.

8D I felt was vague, 6A could be anything as there could be many 4 lettered film names which could also vaguely be related to fans.

In 21A the clue reads 'in place on time' which I feel would lead to RIO+T and not T+RIO

  9. To be fair to 21A, A on B in an across clue leads to BA. It is AB only in a down clue.

  10. Left early for a conference and just got back. Yet to complete CW. Anyhow here's yesterday's solutions:

1f.Lin Ching (popular in the wild West too) -Lynching
2c.Chin Tu Fat (need to convert double them to single): –Chin too fat
3a.Shai Gai (not an outgoing person -Shy guy
4i.Moon Lan Ding (the far out news in 69?): Moon Landing
5h.Hu Yu Hai Ding (even the Gestapo knew this much Mandarim)– Who you hiding?
6g.Wa Shing Kah (spuds on your wheels?) -Washing Car
7d.Kum Hia(fluttery eyelashes look?) -Come here
8b.Wai U Shao Ting(think I am deaf?): -Why you shouting?
    9k.Lao Ze(it sucks !): Lousy
10j.Ne Ahn(a flash of this light, split the night….): -Neon
11l.Wai So Dim(unsuccessful solver or the lighting?) Why so dim?
12e.Tai Ne Po Ne(Shetland horse): -Tiny pony

One googly 10j is in the correct matching position when written as a table, ie j is the 10th letter, just like our T20 cricket matches. The other googly was that goolies were mentioned whereas there was only one. One or two ? Does that make the earlier statement true or false? A happy paradox.

The answer for the 11th one given as “11l” is a further amplification of today’s 20d, date, … series. By a happy coincidence (did not require padding/deletion to manage it), the post posted at 11.11 turned out to be the 11th for the day.

CAF: Suresh Dorbala (who also felt 5d and 7h would work with some vivid imagination), Deepak Gopinath, Dr Venkatesh SR,

  11. Complicatedly atrocious on my mind. GRRR! I'd say Man!!

Gridman also seems to have caught the NJ-bug.Why not fill in any word or phrase and justify them?

I fully agree with the Col DD. This was an assault on our rational thinking.
