  6. Is it just me or are the Sunday grids getting easier by the week?

    Colonel, shouldn't 16D be {A}{CCORD} (~chord)... or some such thing, given the homophone indicator at the beginning?

    Despite the word having a German origin, it's one of those words which has been absorbed into the English language.
