    2. Wonder why you feel that way. This was a technically correct and good crossword IMO. There are a few clues where the surfaces are not so good, but your reaction, I thought was a bit extreme.

    5. May be crosswords should have difficulty ratings like sudoku and readers can then choose to attempt the difficulty level that they are comfortable with.

      I thought this was good crossword. I enjoyed the material hunt.

  4. 2D. Agree with Deepak. SB for somebody is suspect. I could not think of anybody who was a somebody with those initials.

    2. Aah! Ajeesh. I looked it up on Abbreviations.com which had some 164 meanings for SB. The link given has 10 additional meanings including somebody.

    3. In the Cobuild dictionary and other learner's dictionaries, where descriptive definitions are given, they use 'sb' for 'somebody' as the term occurs in various sentences.
