    The answer is hansom (~handsome / Handsome=large/substantial for example He was bequeathed a handsome fortune )

    1. I was misled by auditor leading to CA and got nowhere. Also, I would have 'handsome' associated with beautiful rather than bountiful. Yes, it teaches me to be careful not to predetermine a particular meaning only while trying to solve a clue. Thank you.
