3DN: MY TAKE IS: BA[DM IN]TON
ReplyDeleteAssistant, perhaps=staff= BATON
Playing=IN
Teacher=DM? don't remember to have ever seen this abbreviation!!!
3Dn: {B(ADMIN)T+ON}
ReplyDeleteAssistant=admin; playing=on; is teacher = BT?
Could be a teacher of Basic Training!?
DeleteAlso not sure of the role of "perhaps"
DeleteThat was my idea. BT used to be the B.Ed equivalent earlier. And, perhaps is there because Admin by itself is not a job title. It would be Admin Executive or Admin Manager etc
DeletePerhaps could be "bet"; teacher = educator=E; subdued is deletion indicator; subdued by teacher = BT;
Delete{B(-e)(ADMIN)T+ON}
Thanks for the clarification Arden; our messages crossed and ignore my message
DeleteErrata; Afterdark
DeleteYes, I remember BT for teacher. It was used by a setter in TH
DeleteBy all means, ADMIN can only be interpreted as administration. It may be an adjective. I don't think it can be taken as synonym for assistant/staff/manager.
Deletewhatsapp admin, network admin: admin has come to mean the administrator.
DeleteThanks for the explanation. Though I got the answer, couldn't parse it at all!
Delete9a, i took APE mostly ap<= leading to grandpa
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with GRANDMA?
DeleteMostly, in most cases denotes deletion of single letter. On line version gives grandpa as the correct answer.
DeleteMy logic was same as vasant after getting g(rand).

DeleteProbably we all missed so far!
In 1A, how do we get table?
ReplyDeleteRecord=table.
DeleteThanks for the entertainment AD. RAREFYING and BLISTER were favs.
ReplyDelete+ I was enlightened more in cryptic crossies by AFTERDARK ! Nice and stimulating grid. Thanks, AD !
