    3. Unfortunately the gods were not kind, it was raining and misty at the Kodanadu View point so coudn't see anything. At another point near Kil Kotagiri the flowers had dried up and it needed a climb to walk up to the site so didn't try it.
      I am told it is better to go to Kalhatty which is on the road to Ooty from Bandipur side, a friend of my wife had seen it there last week.

    4. As a student of Botany went to Kodaikanal for a week in 1969-70 for plant collection and saw a few flowers(end of season). These bloom only once in around 12 years. Would love to see Colonel's photos.
