    1. I had always spelt it as 'sanyasi'. Had to check up. Given as a variant.

    3. Yes, it can lead to both answers. But with connecting letters, that would be sorted out, I think.

      While I understand 'sanyasi' is more commonly used spelling in India, if you see Chambers Dictionary (BRB) the spelling is SANNYASI with a double N. It does not even list 'Sanyasi' as a possible variant.
