  1. Walt Disney's 'Scamp' given above as illustration used to be a popular newspaper cartoon ages back.

    The Mini reminded of the version of The Italian Job starring Michael Caine.

  5. Nope, Richard. DG has a Milicento. Plus, if you look at the registration, this one has a EA...

    This is the Mini Cooper.

  6. Hi Richard,

    Kishore is right, my car is the FIAT Millecento whereas the one in the picture is a Mini Cooper

  7. Mini cooper is one of the best cars around. Italian Job,as Kishore pointed out, portrays it best.

  8. Col.,
    Fiat Millecento was a rage at one time and still probably is for some. One of my friends used to buy any good Millicento (second hand of course),use it for a while till he gets a better Millecento!

  9. Fourth time EFFENDI is featuring in THC in the last 6 months. And by 4 different setters. Thanks to a quick search of Col's blog, here are the 4 clues copied with the Col's annos. Any guesses on who clued what (without searching the blog) ?

    A) An Eastern aristocrat (7) - EFFENDI [E]

    B) English females conclude I collected Turkish title (7) - EFFENDI {E}{FF}{END}{I}

    C) Turkish title for one from mid-left, reformed fiend (7) - EFFENDI {lEFt}{FENDI*}

    D) Turkish title of respect to high ranking people (7) - EFFENDI [E]

    [D is from today, so its effectively 3 guesses]
