      (Incidentally in the first, why Hamlet, why not MACBETH?)

      Hence, by picking three words from a crossword, one might make a meaningful but illogical conjecture.
      For example today with British PMs (Heath, Gladstone, Brown) and WHITEHALL in the puzzle, it is a CAKEwalk:

      Today's crossword has an instruction to 16a to act as per the first word of 8d, target being 12a.

      I hope Everyman is not visited by Peelers or MI5...
