      I had passed through Rau when I had gone to Pithampur, but I had completely forgotten about it, little expecting Gridman to excavate it.

      Rau reminded me of the eminent Benegal Rau brothers, who had adorned high posts in International Court of Justice, Reserve Bank of India and the like, not forgetting Indian American travel writer Lady Santha Rama Rau, another product of the same family.

    My sincere condolences to the Deepak family in the bereavement. I recall my pleasant meeting with Lt. Col. Gopinath when I visited their home in Bangalore on a couple of occasions.

    Incidentally Playback singer TMS i.e. Sri T.M. Soundararajan also passed away today at Mylapore at the age of 91.
