  3. 7a Indian farmer goes back to this city (5) NASIK<-

***A totally Indian clue with the rev fodder for sol word too being Indian.

10a Arising from warm sea, Ram reached the city (10) RAMESWARAM*

***A plausible clue as Rameswaram is by the sea. However, the name is a giveaway.

28a My article on Ram was returned by the country (7) MY AN MAR<-

***Good surface. Perhaps the repetition of the name could have been avoided. Would 'butter', chestnut though it is, have served the purpose?

    1. Yes. There are many options too. Strike, Force , Crowd , Crash -- all would have worked better .. Got carried away with the theme.

I am not taking any other clue in lieu of the repeat.

    1. Carom or carrom?

I first thought there could be a mistake here. It appears that carom is a game of billiards and carrom, popular as ever, is a board game. Any clarifications from experts?

    1. Further to my 11:39 -

I remembered it very well because Ramtek in Maharashtra was made famous by the late prime minister Pamulaparti Venkata Narasimha Rao, hailing from the then united Andhra Pradesh by contesting the Lok Sabha elections from there twice - in 1984 and 1989.
