DeleteBy the way all of us missed the Clue Acrostic in Spinner's CW on Saturday. Look it up.
ReplyDeleteI did. Great. The only explanation why everyone missed it is because it was a Saturday.Sad.
DeleteIndividual e-mails have been sent out to those have confirmed attendance for the S&B Meet on 8th Feb.
ReplyDelete? Not recd.
DeleteReceived. Just wondering how to make it since it is exactly clashing with our Alumni meet- exactly same time and about the same no. of attendees. Not close by either.
DeleteRaghu,
DeleteI had sent it to your gmail ID. Have sent it again to your Dataone ID
Apologise for 13A.. I had sent it in as 'for treatment day'.. Day and treatment seems to have gotten mixed up..
ReplyDeleteYou have to be patient with doctors, they frequently mix up treatments...
Delete:-) God be with the patients!
DeleteAnd dog be with the docs?
DeleteIt is treatment day in Chennai edition paper
DeleteIn online version also it is treatment day.
DeleteJoining the chorus in appreciating the excellent CW. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteThree cheers (really this time!) to Col. for going global from Down Under to the Top.
ReplyDeleteKishore,
a small typo in 9A-
'Used' in stead of 'User'.
Thanks, Paddy. Set right now.

ReplyDeleteHooray! Samosa day again. Thanks Exa. This is the first occasion I cracked Exa's. Very happy.
ReplyDeleteHow May ( Defn) is Might? In 24 d
ReplyDelete"I may do it" ~= "I might do it". They are not exactly synonymous, but do get used interchangeably.
ReplyDeleteVery nice one from Exa - enjoyed solving it. Really liked the surfaces for PROCURED, ELATION, MIGHT, and WARM.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Exa and Kishore!
Congrats, Colonel, for the well-deserved global acclaim and acknowledgement!
ReplyDeleteThanks go out to all who visit the blog and not to me alone
ReplyDeleteCol: Congrats on the anniversary and as you say, a blog as as good as its creator and participants and the beauty of THCC blog is that it has immortality and is in perpetuity. One can always go back to the beginning , or any day to reminisce and savour on nostalgia !!
ReplyDeleteThe jumbo crossword appears to be tough . One does find it a bit cumbersome jumbo as one has to fl;it between the clues and the squares. Hence, since the printer at home here is on the blink, I have asked my daughter to get a copy from her office .Wouldn't it be nice of you could
extend the dead line by a few days and have the winner's name announced at the S&B Meet? I if course, cannot participate but will try at leisure.
We have snow storm here in NY and I'm home-bound, cozy in the warmth indoors. Good opportunity for me to complete many crossword cuttings pending disposal.
Felt 'composed' isn't exactly synonymous with 'calm' and 'caseworkers' aren't exactly socially active.
ReplyDeleteBut otherwise, extremely fair and entertaining!
EXA : You're excellent !! Kept my brains heated up in this cold and icy New York for a good one hour solving. I liked ADIEUS !
ReplyDeleteAdieus to all for the nonce !!
