hi...can someone help pls...is there an across lite version for android?
ReplyDeleteostensibly there isn't! did try searching for it a number of times ...no success
DeleteNope there isn't. Following is what their site says
Delete"Free versions for other operating systems including Android are currently not available while they are under development."
A pity :( coz all my mobile devices are android...now my laptop is on windows of course but sadly hv a problem that does not allow it to connect to the internet. i need to find a great systems engineer who can help me sort out the issue...am looking for one
DeleteAs far as I know, there are versions of AcrossLite for Windows, Mac and iPad.
ReplyDeleteI don't think one can solve an AcrossLite version on android.
Visit
http://www.litsoft.com/across/alite/download/
There are word pattern search software on Android but whether we can interactively solve a crossword puzzle on Android, I don't know.
I think there are android apps to solve particular crosswords such as NYT, etc, but not a puz created using AcrossLite.
ReplyDeleteThere is one for THC too & its a good one; presently solving 2011 CWs through it.
DeleteHi Vasant, which app are you referring to?

11 Invisible light when mirrored in lead-free pole gave rudimentary seed (5) O VU LE
ReplyDeleteLead is P lead free pole is ole - UV rays invisible light
Lead is Pb ain't it? but ur anno seems perfect!
DeleteRam, You have to account for 'mirrored' also in the Anno!
DeleteMirrored is VU
DeleteSo in the Anno it becomes {O{VU<=}LE} UV reflected/reversed.
DeleteThanks MB
DeleteActually by lead free the intention was leaderless... Not Pb for lead
DeleteThanks; that was quite ingenious!Makes the clue extremely good!

ReplyDeleteAcrosslite is very convenient tool !! Wish it is available on other days too for the THCC ! Why on weekends , Online isb not available? I've to wait to return to India to do the Sundays' crossies -- a long way and wait !!
Even the mighty SUN cannot thaw the snow piled up over the days on the sidewalks here !! Luckily, the Management of Stuyvesant in the East river side are clearing the roads and walkways- 24 hours ! Still amused to see the igloos that are cars parked !!
