  2. Off topic

Today there is a story of a woman's dress, the pic of which (on the Intenet) is seen in either of two colours by viewers.

Believe it or not, I saw it first in blue and black. But minutes later I refreshed the page and saw it in gold and white.

I betook myself from the chair, went to the drawing room and showed it to the Lady of the House. She said "blue and black' but I was still seeing it as gold and white.

I don't know what the mystery is about.

    How do you see it?

    1. My friend said she's got to write an article on this.. Didn't know the subject was catching on.. She said the picture is no more than a badly taken picture under unnatural lighting, which is why everyone is confused..

    2. It must be what the ladies call a 'shot'

  3. Where is it? Now that the curiosity has been kindled, all of us would like to see it, but look where?

    4. Thank you Col. I think, like AS said, poor lighting is the cause. Initially I saw it as Gold & White. But as I scrolled down I started seeing the Blue shade.

  5. Good one from Sunnet - thanks to him, and to DG for the blog. Lots of imaginative wordplay here.

I am doubtful about Congress=mate. Mate as noun doesn't work at all; mate as verb will require the gerund (mating) to be synonymous with congress. Am I missing something?

    1. Good point!

Yes, congress (forgetting the false capitalization) = mating, not mate. (I told you I don't know these grammatical terms.)

Yes, congress does have the meaning 'sexual intercourse' in he dictionary. But I can't imagine anyone of us using that word in everyday conversation.

Make any suggestion to any woman and she might direct you to the office of the political party. Only you will be confused in you have to go to INC, TMC or worse, Tamil Maanila Congress. Some might prefer US Congress.

  9. C : Ever the gawker, eh? you don't know how lucky you are !! There are viragos and harridans out there who would beat the husband black and blue following such colourful revelations !!!

CONGRESS synonyms ? Trust you to go to the bottom of it !! Confluence, conjugations, combinations and conjunctions not to speak of consensuals . Many more such connotations and concantinations following confabulations can be finally conceived ! Conceded ? or is it conseeded? I am convinced !!
