  1. With an hour and half head start, I completed the puzzle around 5.15 AM IST.
    Liked 12D, 8d 19A but favourite was 11d which reminded me of good old childhood days and reading Dennis comics.
    Thanks Gridman.

    1. Good old days (with the actual meaning of old) for reading,re-reading Dennis comics. Evergreen,shall I say? One wishes he never grows up and continue to enthrall us!
      Thank you Gridman.

    2. Dennis the Menace still continues to enthral all of us with his inimitable red dungarees. I wonder how many parents must be comparing their own brats to him. I have a collection of his antics in a book form.

  27. Gridman must have thought of Wordsworth!
    Like an army defeated
    The Snow hath retreated,
    And now doth fare ill
    On the top of the bare hill;
    The Plough-boy is whooping—anon—anon:
    There's joy in the mountains;
    There's life in the fountains;
    Small clouds are sailing,
    Blue sky prevailing;
    The rain is over and gone

  30. 7d Revolutionary to return and keep six sheep (7)
    Is "return" a kosher reversal indicator in a down clue?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Why not?
      It returns, whether upwards, downwards or sideways from left/west to right/east.
      It is not 'lifted' or 'raised' or some such, restricting the direction.
