25A- IMO,Pawn broker is not the def. I think it is just uncle
ReplyDeleteCould 'country relative' be the def. or is it just CD?
It is not very clear to me either. I felt the def. is country relative. Uncle Sam is known as USA or Americans.
Delete+1 pawnbroker:uncle, samuel short is Sam. Uncle Sam is the uncle of whole country
DeleteMetadata was new to me but wp and crossings helped.
ReplyDeleteRange in English has quite a wide range. It ranges from Himalayas to cooking range!
One will be deranged if he didn't get it.
DeleteThat's off the range!
DeleteWhether it be a MURDER mystery to be solved or the theft of UNCLE SAM'S DIAMONDS.
ReplyDeleteThe Injury INCURRED in a FLAWED KARATE chop.
Any such thing and more INSPECTOR Clouseau had his own CLUMSY way of UNMASKING.
Yes I am talking about Peter Sellers acting in the 1963 movie THE PINK PANTHER as an Indian.
Hilarious and much more. If you have not seen the movie yet, please do view it now!
Illuminated.
DeleteLovely story!
DeleteJust Peter Seller is hilarious. He does not have to DO anything. He specialises in portraying the hilarious Indian.
ReplyDeleteSee Peter Sellers as Hrundi Bakshi in 'The Party'. If anyone could do anything in a most CLUMSY way, it's him. Thank you CGB for some good old memories.
