  2. 26A I took it as G+LIT(T)ERATI though it doesn't make any difference to the solution.

  3. 2D- IMO, 'Form' is the def.
    wp- Forget-T

    1. The Q probably was lose as forget.

    2. From Collins....

      2. verb
      If you lose something, you do not know where it is, for example because you have forgotten where you put it.
      I lost my keys. [VERB noun]
      I had to go back for my checkup; they'd lost my X-rays. [VERB noun]
      Synonyms: mislay, miss, drop, forget

  4. Typo in 1A- 'And' to be included in anagram fodder. (in capitals)

  5. 27A- Hitch=fasten=Rope looks ok as def.

    1. Technically hitch is a knot at the end of rope, tied to tow a boat or car but in common usage means the whole rope.

  6. 20D- This is how I took it-
    Def.- Type of bowling
    Eventually reduction=N
    in=in
    Energy and power= EP
    With=In

  7. 20D- I can't understand why 'this' is included,probably just for surface.

    1. +1. It makes the clue sort of &Litish

    2. I also took it to mean, as compared to tenpin , ninepin needs less energy and power.

  8. CV. Why no grid shown? Why black and white ? Colorful blog is preferable, though I know it is tedious. My opinion!

  9. A well -knit grid ; thoroughly enjoyed solving. Thanks, Vulcan.

  10. 6D where do letters T and E come from? what is the role of empty - ?

    1. +1. This clues seems to have not been annotated here.

    2. I think (T E) it has some connection with punctuation mark - dash. Could it be empty dash meaning empty TracE?

      Delete
    3. looks like it; one meaning of dash is small amount. Thank you

    4. Doesn't sound very convincing. '-' to dash to trace (which is a different meaning of dash and not '-') to T-E has multiple levels of indirection. However, I can't think of any other annotation!

    5. MB an inspired piece of annotation! But I think a word is missing like Treasure( starting with T and ending with E)

  11. 15Ac Should it not be necessary to say 16Ac instead of just 16 in the clue?

    1. Your point will be right if there are both across and down clues. In this case, there is no down clue.
