      Do also in Crodsword Compiler where during filling in we can change the patter, alter word lengths with synmmetry taken care of and refill the new pattern.

      FYI: if you write the linked clue for 21 + 19 like this, the software will know that it's a linked clue and will highlight both as well as let the solver type through all the way:

      21, 19 Turntable to serve idle partners covering America (4,5)

      (I.e., just use commas to separate the linked clue numbers, not "/").

      That is great. TH interactive version is unable to handle linked clues and we setters csn't use that type.

      Col:

      - "21, 19 ....." will use 19a if the 21 in question is an across clue

      - But if 19d is intended to be the clue to link to, then you simply say
      "21, 19d ...."

      - So, a complex example would be:
      "21, 19, 19d, 10 ......"

      Here (assuming the 21 is in the "across" clues list), four clues are linked: 21a, 19a, 19d, and 10a.

      Yes. Bardeen was awarded Nobel along with Shockley and Brattain for inventing transistor. He got a second Nopbel, again in Physics, for super conductivity.

    Now that only a couple left to be solved, I can reveal myself as the setter, Libran. I thank Dr Nabar who helped in preparing the CW and Col Gopinath for publishing it. A long time wish fulfilled. As a debutant setter, I would welcome comments particularly on the clues, from experts.

      Great Debut DNMR! A themed puzzle with sound Wordplay is a great start. If the indirect anagram in 3d would have been avoided, it would have been a great puzzle
