  7. Sir, I observe that for the 10th round, I don't qualify as I am not within top 30b in IXL2020. I am not sure whether I will be permitted to take the 10th round tomorrow as I am under the impression somehow that one will enter the grand finale on the basis of overall leaderboard after 10th round. Please advise, Sir. Regards. From Krishnamurthy, Bangalore

    1. The top 30 is based on the overall result of all the rounds including the 10th round. So you are entitled and must play the 10th round.

    1. While your score will not take you to the top thirty you can enter (as per the rules) the grand finale if you top the leaderboard in the 10th round. So you can play.

You may have received a mail on city rounds after the 10th round from which entry to grand finals may be possible . The rules would be announced later

  10. I didn't understand the working of 11 across. Crossword Answers in the top half(northern) of grid are the white squares(lights). Is this the understanding?

  11. Extremely enjoyable clueing. Loved all the long anagrams. BTW are there some geniuses among cruciverbalists who can do 15 letter anagram with out indicators of number of words and letters in each word?

    1. For me, it will be difficult. But if there are crossings available for such clues, it may not be difficult to decipher them.

  12. For a long time, I thought 'LUNCH' in 12a (which I had gotten from the crossings) came from meal. Very nice deception :)
Also, I'm unsure if my blogger profile will show in this comment, so my name is Tejas.
