Balt= Native of a Baltic state like Latvia.

ReplyDeleteDetailed- take the tails off!
ReplyDeleteGenerous fare from Arden today. Enlightening all the same. Recorded faster time for Arden's puzzles.
ReplyDeleteI’m a newbie. I have some questions about the Reference List. Why is Church=CE, Note=ME, and Measure=ELL. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLook up CE, Me and Ell in a dictionary and you will discover the answers yourself. If the blogger takes one step (good enough, I would say), be prepared to take one step yourself. Don't expect to be spoonfed. If one says sari = a woman's garment, we shouldn't ask 'why?'. We need to look up a dictionary and learn what a woman is and what a garment is. So also here. If you look up ell' you will learn something.. You will learn what a 'measure' is. Further knowledg will come if you explore further. Give him an inch, and he'll take an ell. What is an ell? What is our Tamil muzham?
DeleteThink of Do,Re,Me....
DeleteThanks. I looked it up. Gotcha.
