ReplyDeleteThanks, sir! Pre-prandial or post-prandial?
DeleteThank you incognito for another easy but enjoyable grid. 16ac and 3d are my favourites.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is very good.
Delete3D New ton (not)
ReplyDelete3dn Newton (RA)
ReplyDeleteIncognito seems to give a 3D effect to his crosswords. Geddit?
ReplyDeleteSir, I saac it!!!
Delete[saac is hp for second]
Reddit, sir!
Delete17D connecting Dubya = (George W ) Bush = Primate brings laughter and shows the intelligence of setter.
ReplyDeleteTongue in cheek mischievous subtly humoŕous.....can add many more!
DeleteI must confess that I don't solve puzzles nowadays (for some reasons into which we shall not go here but some of my friends know). So it's nice to be discovering the quality clues here for which my thanks are due to the Col and commenters.
ReplyDeleteIXL solution and overall lb up. My solution grid was painted with red :(
ReplyDeleteYours once! Mine thrice!!!
DeleteLast three. :(
DeleteIt was a very tiring round. No wonder so many of us got RED. But it was a blessing in disguise for toppers. Even those who got mistakes still got almost 50 points due to low pass %!!!
DeleteIt was a tough puzzle and I spent those extra minutes in parsing the clues.
DeleteStill trying to parse one.
DeleteRun say further swelling count coming off last over (6)
I could only get the def run. Nd the specific usage ladder.

DeleteThanks col. I got stuck by last oveR.
DeleteI am in the leaderboard (96th) - that is the only solace
ReplyDeleteHi there - Thought the solutions are posted around 4 PM everyday so that non-regulars can venture answers to some clues. However the grid gets filled way before that every day! When can novices post? --JayMan
ReplyDeleteThat is only on Fridays. You can try tomorrow.
Delete24d: Pleasant memories associated with Mapusa. It is the native place of my close Goan friend. I stayed in his house-a big palatial house-for more than two weeks two decades back. Thank you Incognito for bringing back wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Vasant. I still love driving/biking in the narrow roads along the waterways. Though I find Mapusa a bit too commercialized.
DeleteI am relatively new to this. Please explain 3d...unable to connect the dots.
ReplyDeleteIt is a reverse anagram. New (ton)*=Not
DeleteThanks so much
DeleteThis was one of the easiest grids in recent times. Nonetheless enjoyed it though I could not solve 13 Down and 16 Across,,, Thanks...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Panje-maam!
DeleteThanks everyone. BTW, in the surface of the clue, the primate in the clue refers to a church elder, not an ape
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to a flying start tomorrow, being the last puzzle in this run
A cryptic hint for tomorrow's theme.. Airforce or birds?
