  29. I have a q. In 29a - what is the role of transfix? Entrance is the definition. Unearthly no end (- u - y)
    Transport is anagrind.
    Kindly clarify.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. IMU, no end is only one direction. So I made it obvious with "end and entrance". Transfix is the def.
Infact transfix/transport/entrance are all synonyms of enthral.

    2. 13a I couldn't avoid the cluing once i saw the possibility. I know the symbol isn't that common or that well represented by a non-scientific key board.

Hope of rest of the clues were within the syntax of cryptics.

  37. II! being used to represent products symbol!

It is actually equivalent (visually identical) to larger form of Greek letter PI in capital form. Either of them could be used to represent product of a range, just like SIGMA is used for summation.
