Is THC moving away from std 15*15 locked grids!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is meant by 15*15 grid? What is locked grid. Sree Sree ji, can you kindly elaborate?
DeleteHi RR,
DeleteOnly 2 connections between the top and bottom half, only one connection to the North East corner, only one connection to the South West corner ??
Maybe a one-off . . . .
Thanka Ghaza. Is there any number of minimum connections for an ideal grid? What is meant by locked grid?
DeleteI don't know what really qualifies as a locked grid. I think people here look for at least 3 connections between the halfs and at least 4 connections into each quarter.
DeleteGrid a mathematical /engineering concept.
Deletetessellation of space with translational symmetry, typically formed from parallelograms or higher-dimensional analogs
Translational property means, when you try to move any one analog (square here) (ie pull/push a square), does the grid retain the same structure in the new position.
So in this grid if i pick the top most square of NE corner and pull it, the grid wont move but that little corner will turn and the grid will loose its shape.
To avoid that there should be atleast two independent routes from any point to any point on the path you can travel.
This is a 17*15 freeform crossy elegantly tucked in as 15*15 grid.
The strength of that grid will depend on how many independent connections are there.but two is a bare minimum for grid integrity.
DeleteOtherwise its a freeform diagram.
1A:sacred=blessed. Sounds like say cred(credit).
ReplyDeleteI think it sounds like SAKE (interest) RID (free)
