Very easy CW today.
ReplyDeleteCOD 28A
9A is a S (Simple or Straight) clue
Too many anagrams today!
ReplyDeleteApart from the botched placement of homophone indicator in 4D, good puzzle.
ReplyDelete27 - Revert ban to arrest on a hilltop (3) - NAB <- Why the hilltop?
ReplyDeleteSeems to be a DD. There is a hill called NAB.
Then it would be MD
ReplyDeleterevert ban; to arrest; a hilltop.
4D-
ReplyDeleteThough I filled in 'tale'due to crossings, felt it should be 'tail'.
A tale of tails:

Back to THC after 5 days . Got all except 13 A.
ReplyDeleteStarted this Manna run by hardly getting one, and now this one... I can say I solved it virtually in my sleep, or at least on the red-eye. 28A and 14D are really nice ones.
ReplyDeleteDidn't get 20D ANDANTE -- despite all the crossings -- didn't know the word and had to look it up. But why is it a CD? Seems like a straightforward definition, though tough if one hasn't come across the term
ReplyDeleteSandhyaP@08:39,
ReplyDeleteToo many anagrams today!
Indeed. They made the grid all the more easy to solve.
Ajeesh@12:44,
Got all except 13 A.
Yes, that foxed me too. I'd not even heard of it before. I also didn't get 8D.

ReplyDeleteSend this to the OED for inclusion in thier next addition.
