  1. Computer processing related theme? SWITCHING, LOCKS, THREAD, SCHEDULER, SEMAPHORE.

I thought the position of the homophone indicator in 3D was incorrect.

  2. Never knew that a hospice was a place for ordinary travelers to rest.

I only heard of it as a place for travelers to the other world to rest.

  6. A very interesting clue from the Old Times site today:
In Yorkshire perhaps no hospital available a month before my operation (12)
With 'OPERATION' as definition, parts of the clue - month (DEC) and ending MY - gave the answer away.
What proved challenging was the justification for the first part. A little search showed that in Yorkshire dialect, 'HAPPEN' is used for 'perhaps'.

    Thus, the Annotation is:

    [-h]APPEN DEC TO MY

  7. Was honoured with a visit by Sankalak and his wife who dropped in at my place today, Kishore and his wife also joined in to give company. Unforunately I forgot to capture images of the visit on my camera even though I had taken it out and kept it ready prior to their arrival.
