Gridman has been in fine form. Today's puzzle was as good as any this run.
ReplyDeleteI fully bra the above comment.
DeleteCartoon illustrates the elastic limit when without support...
ReplyDeleteIf we do not get an answer, sometimes seeing the answer grid for yesterday's quickie helps. Eg:
13 - Go flat with Deutsch song (4) - LIED {LIE}{D}
This word came as 25a German song in yesterday's Guardian Quick 10784, for which the answer is published today.
10 - Soldier, therefore, began lifting the umbrella (7) - PARASOL
Reminded of the parachute joke.
Thoroughly enjoying Gridman this round
ReplyDeleteQuite a pedestrian CW. The excessive use of CD/E type clues (6 is what I counted) and charade clues for 4/5 letter words don't make for a pleasant experience in solving a cryptic CW.
ReplyDeleteThis run has been giving me the impression of too many CDs per grid. (Note: I'm not saying there are too many of them, as I haven't bothered to count; it's just an impression.)
DeleteEnjoyed today's CW, though I was 'caught' napping for 5A!
ReplyDelete25A- 'bo' from? (smell?)
Yes, smell = BO (body odour)
DeleteThank you Bhavan.
ReplyDeleteKishore :
ReplyDeleteBeing GridMAN, he doesn't require bra.
vasu
I agree, but he regularly uses it ;-)
DeleteSankalak and Gridman are at an identical 200 labels on this blog today :)
ReplyDeleteReally enjoying this run as well.
