Bird with a clipped tail = LARK – K
ReplyDeleteInjured And Tied at the end = I+A+T (first letters)
Should have been at the beginning and not at the end

DeleteToo many clues with opening/ending letters today!
Could end not be either side?
DeleteWe should be able to make both ends meet!
DeleteIt could be clarified as front end and back end
DeleteThat makes sense. And it is fair to the solver.
DeleteGood one. Enjoyed. Thank you AD
ReplyDelete30a shouldn't the full title be clued in when having the title/name of the film?
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly, my photo identity is missing in the blogger! Can someone please tell me how to restore?
ReplyDeletePls chk if you are logged in with google+ profile or blogger profile.
DeleteI think it was +google which is defunct now. How to add my photo image which is available still in gmail account?
DeleteThanks Prasad for reminding about +google. I got my new photo uploaded.
DeleteIt looks like a subdued KKR!
DeleteHa ha!
DeleteWe can cheat anyone...but not our age!
Enjoyable puzzle
ReplyDeleteHello all,
ReplyDeleteDoes the word 'basically' have any specific meaning in a clue? I have been seeing it quite often but can't pinpoint a specific function.
I was also wondering if the presence of an ellipsis at the start or end of the clue (as seen twice today) conveys any meaning?
Sam I'd.. If you closely look at the annotation of the clue 22d as given in the blog, it denotes the 1st letter.
DeleteEllipsis in two clues bind the two clues in the surface story (in some clues in word play and/or definition too)
Sorry for the typo in your name
DeleteThank you!
DeleteAh yes, should have noticed the first letter!
Re ellipsis - I can see how 23A and 25A can be joined to make a meaningful sentence. But the others don't seem to have any connections between them at all
