  4. 19D- Is it correct to say 'Best used by God' to get A(RAMA)I.
Is 'by' necessary/correct? I feel it is just best used God.

  6. The clue for 11.A - In Delhi and Kerala, it's enough rice, is a fantastic one. Hats off to the compiler of this grid Afterdark and wonder as to how the crossword buffs in north of Vindhyas are aware of the Malayalam word 'MATI'.....
The 16.D clue is also an intelligent brain-teaser.

  11. 1D was a sixes, ignoramus I was. Filling that as ignorants added to the misery. Great grid, lovely anagrams, basmati touche, abbreviations so nicely used in the word play. A day when Afterdark does not fulfill solvers' expectations is never going to be there...a litote!
