DeleteI filled it as AIR hence gone with the wind in lighter vein
DeleteIn fact, that was the originally intended word. I restrained myself from mentioning it because the error had been already noticed and it wouldn’ t be fair to give a word now. Anyway, thank you.

DeleteNice grid with some interesting grid entries.
ReplyDeleteA small feedback which I got too for one of my grids. Avoid clues with only middle letter checked. e.g. 13A, 17D. Am not an expert just passed on the feedback. Please take note as appropriate.
Yes 17d and 18d have both middle letter checkers. To boot both are CDs making them difficult to solve.
DeleteThank you for the feedback. I will take care of it in my future (?) grids.
DeleteWhat is 'Middle letter checker'?
DeleteNo need for a defensive ? about future grids! Expect many more. Loved the long ones. Quiver was cleverly done- I was thinking about rockets!
Delete@Paddy: Only one letter is "checked" i.e. only one letter crosses with other clues, the middle one.

31d:Doesn't Exolve take care of that?
DeleteHi Viresh: Can Exolve warn of non clued lights?
It should have, maybe it didn't detect it as it was the last down clue
DeleteIt doesn't warn currently, but I'll add that as a feature very soon. Will also add a similar warning for the case when an enum does not match the light length.
DeleteGreat. Thanks Viresh.
DeleteI've added this feature now.
DeleteThank you very much Sir.
ReplyDeleteBesides what Novice has mentioned, consecutive unches as in 17D and 18D should be avoided in grid construction.
