Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head.
The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay,
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes.
I love thee, Lord Jesus! look down from the sky,
And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.
Be near me, Lord Jesus; I ask thee to stay
Close by me forever, and love me I pray.
Bless all the dear children in thy tender care,
And take us to heaven to live with thee there.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Darren Redfern yesterday. He had set two crossword for this blog in Jun and Sep 2014 under the Pseudonym 'Elmith'. Our condolences to his family. May his soul Rest in Peace. Thanks to Ramki for reminding me about his setting CW's for the blog.
ReplyDeleteMay his soul rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteCan we have either or both of his CW's as Sunday special in the coming weeks. 2014 is quite far off and in any case many of the present bloggers may not have done it.
May his soul rest in peace!
ReplyDelete5d usage ofbstewardess and air hostess are being slowly phases out in favor of gender neutral attendant or inflight cabin crew. Officially airlines do not use the term air hostess. (Especially after the licensing was introduced)
ReplyDeleteThank you Prasad. I was wondering about the usage of ex.
ReplyDeleteToday's special?
ReplyDeleteDarren was a good setter who also used to participate actively in the Anax DIY cluing contests under the name of Elmith. Friends in FB knew that he was unwell and undergoing treatment for the last few months but were hoping that he would recover. Our condolences to his family.
