    But, on critical examination, 'is' does not seem to work in cryptic grammar.

  2. "leaves one"- Is it part of the def.? I think it is part of the wordplay and only Bliss seems to be the def.
    Good but tricky CW. I am glad my 18D was not exposed much!

  5. I am a 'scatterbrained' fellow to have filled 1 Across as 'featherbrained' ! How silly of me (either way) !! I ignored the Spanish lady instead caught hold of Italian lady and cut her top
    to get my answer for 18 Down !!!

    3. Happy to note that my name was in the all correct entries. It took two days for me to write the anno with Hindi words. For the efforts to write, I think everyone deserves a prize; but above all the prize should also go to setters for making the cryptic Hindi CW easy for people like me who have limited knowledge of Hindi. Congrats Vipin Nair for winning the prize.
