'samosa days are over'- not from tomorrow, but from today itself. Tough one today. Had to wait for 8.30 to understand quite q few. Cabotage was new- BTW the def. is not highlighted.
ReplyDeleteThanks,highlighted now
DeleteLooks like the setter was tired of receiving accolades for presenting smooth ones all this time. May have tried to be different by giving a tough one today. :-)
ReplyDelete+ 1. May be he meant this puzzle to act as a "Wake-up Call" to all Samosa lovers !
DeleteI suppose it's good to exercise those ageing grey cells, but I do miss the samosa days!!
ReplyDeleteDivali round the corner, could that be the reason for the reduced number of comments?
Good morning all.
Yes, appears some of our friends are off on trips ...
Delete21 A boy will face the bowler and another is on course for a good score (9) ALBATROSS {AL}{BAT}{ROSS}
ReplyDeletebowler = bat? I thought it is hat.Or is it 'face the bowler'? Didnt get Ross part also.
A boy = AL
Deletewill
face the bowler = BAT
and another = ROSS (ie another boy)
is on course for a good score = Definition = {AL}{BAT}{ROSS}
Al - boy. Face the bowler - bat. and another(boy) - Ross
DeleteTwo boys facing bowler in the middle on course for a good score- probably would have been better.
13 Poise — company doctor has it definitely (9) COMPOSURE {CO}{M{P}O}{SURE} 'P' for 'it'?
ReplyDeleteFrom the below link
P = Poise. So I think by 'it' Arden meant poise again.
