There is a hyphen - in south-asia
A minor point about Boat train- it was actually called 'Boat Mail' and I have travelled in it many times. Mail part is not only indicative of a fast train, but it also included a mail van exclusively to carry post and a few people working inside and sorting mails for delivery en route. Those days transfer of mails largely depended on mail bags carried on trains. Even newspapers.
ReplyDeleteThe train was so called since it connected to a boat at Rameswaram for onward journey to Sri lanka, nee Ceylon. Those were peaceful days!
