No. 12749, Monday, 07 Oct 2019,, Dr. X

Today is my turn to blog but the write-up does not appear in usual form as I do not have access to the clues, THC having gone behind a paywall. I have put this up so that those readers who have solved the puzzle in the print edition or having had access to the website may, if they wish, put in answers to any clues/Comments hereunder. No limits.

  5. Thanks. I am not sure if this violates any legal clause by the Hindu (Gridman can advise us!) Today being a holiday, had the time to do this. But will have to figure out some alternative for the long term.

    1. In my view, no newspaper should treat this as an infringement. This is an acceptable situation with many global newspapers, why should The Hindu be serious about it?
After all, we are not pirates but sharing our knowledge, entertainment apart.

  41. Doc. Sorry for the late appearance. I put paid to the non sensical stand of the Hindu. I got myself a printed copy and went back to the non- online days. It is more irksome to read the small prints and smaller block to fill in. Will gave to get used to it.

Are you teasing us ? Getting to be more and more tough to get the answers. Playing hard to get,eh?
As usual, loved the long phrases. Will miss for the next two days, though it is Saesswati pooja days when we should worship our goddess by doing crossies !
