Dr RKE's TalePiece

Modiyana

The Prime Minister, an EPITOME of probity, is PERCEIVED to be AHEAD of all his cabinet members in social media presence. The number of congratulatory EMOJIs that his Twitter HANDLE receives is an indication. To overcome the INERTIA of a bureaucracy that had been ASLEEP for years, to bring about a REORDERING in the heirarchy, to remove their assumed ROYAL HALO, unFAZEd by the criticism is no easy task. There are a few MAVERICKs in the party who NEGATE his views and are responsible for the REVERSAL that his party had to face in the by-elections. One minister, who is suspected to have done some DISHONEST dealings in INDENT of  UREA for the Krishi Vikas Yojana has come in for CENSORIOUS comments. AGITATEd by such news ITEMs that DILUTE his quest for a corruption free governance, the PM is likely to dismiss the said minister. Those LISTENing to Man ki Baat, are ASSUAGEd about the ADEQUACY of his measures to curb corruption. Even the foreign media that came in to GAWK at his novel methods, now EXCLAIM about his achievements.

  5. The setter has also mentioned in the FB group that there is a Nina and set of themed clues in the grid. I could spot the Nina (not mentioning it here as a spoiler) and some of the clues as well.

  11. Since the grid is usually submitted a couple of months in advance, how did Gussalufz know that it would be published on the anniversary of the Dandi March? +1 for that

  12. Slightly long-winded clues but easy going. I didn't get 3D: AHEAD and 13D: FAZE, but the rest was simple.
What is the reference to Nina? I'm puzzled!
