ReplyDelete14ac.CENSOR..Sounds like sensor
ReplyDeleteFast and correct.
ReplyDeleteAnother enjoyable offering from Lightning- true to expectations.
ReplyDeleteWe see a different form of (better?) Husband today,Though Free Dic. lists this meaning as archaic!
The word husband in the context of conservation is very much in circulation even now, in the case of farm animals etc. It is listed as archaic only in the case household care.
DeleteRef: Merriam - Webster
DeleteLoved the square cut- nicely executed. Rain did not allow our batsmen to play a few yesterday. Waited in vain. Wish it had gone down the drain in stead of the cricket field.
ReplyDeleteTook a while to spot the woman on top of the world- good one.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed solving. Easy but refreshing, particularly the clues for 1a, 19a, 24d and 22d
ReplyDeleteWell, Lightning hit me at the very outset and I failed in my take-off (1-A). Yet I did not abort and managed to solve a good number of other clues in today's interesting grid.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, missing Mr. Bhargav's caricatures and also his wordplay both with the clues and answers.
Trust he is well.
Hopefully it is just a slackness in enthusiasm. Hope he reads this and gets the needed encouragement. Listening CGB?
