ReplyDelete8d is the anind placed right for a CA? imu, it should be after the. the wrong list changes heat rate!
could not get annotation 4d. for reversing . Almighty - GOD ...DOG <---

DeleteBeautiful portrait of Lord Sri Krishna! Well done Sri Prasanna Rao garu!
ReplyDelete2d The answer is only an 8 letter word. The enu is also given as 8. Why does the hint contain 10 letters?
ReplyDeleteIt should be actually S?N?F?S?
?G? Right in the middle should be removed.
Correct enu is
DeleteS?N?F?S?
Sorry-typo. G? Only must be removed.
ReplyDelete29A typo REED<=
ReplyDelete2d - SONGFEST. "Sign of cross" minus choirs.?
ReplyDeleteWhy have you left out 'the' in the middle?
DeleteAs per your anno, only 5 letters will be left out.
I too noticed Paddy, that the word 'the' has been left out. Without that, we won't get the answer.
DeleteIt is actually a CA.
Delete(CHOIRS+SONGFEST)*=Sign of the cross
Now I get it.
DeleteI was trying it as (Sign of the cross)- Choirs
@Paddy at 11:54: That is also another way of getting the answer.
Delete"assembled" is an indicator for CA,right?
DeleteAs per my anno deletion indicator will be missing.
Yes, you are right but in a CA, we usually work out the answers by deleting (word/words) from the fodder and then anagramming. We confirm the answer by adding (word/words) to the solution to get the fodder.
DeleteThank you Vasant
Delete+1 Well explained Vasant!
DeleteNever knew about your painting skills. Really superb, Prasanna Raogaru!
ReplyDeleteYou said it dear Mr. Koteswara Rao... And I trust that Mr. Bhargav is fine since his artistic inputs have been absent for almost a month...

Dear Mr. Padmanabhan,
DeleteSo sad that I am far away in Delhi. Noneheless, I wish that you are able to dispatch a 'Free Home Delivery' of a gist of this S&B meeting, and in the process enrich me with novel notions on playing with words.
As for the 'Free Home Delivery', my contact is panjesuresh@gmail.com.
Take Care-n-Stay Safe... Cheers!!!
Thank you. will keep you posted.
DeleteDear Mr. Devnathan,
ReplyDeleteAt times I wonder whether you were a cricketer, fond of bowling googly at the batsmen with tricky deliveries and today's your compilation of THCW has proved this.
Of course, other THCW setters are also the same, bewildering CW addicts like me with fantastic clues.
All said and done, thank you since I could learn two new words today - CAMELEER and DEERSTALKER.
And finally, let me conclude by saying "Hats off to you Col. Saab....." for the illustrative mode of solving!!!
19D is a good example of a googly- to split 'away' as a way and get AST.
ReplyDeleteWhy is "E" used for "oriental"?
ReplyDeleteOriental = From the East = E
DeleteThank you Col :)
