    1. "No means no" education is a way to teach children and adults to respect personal boundaries and say "no" to coercion.
      No Means No Instructors teach girls mental, verbal and physical skills to prevent sexual assault. Boys learn resiliency skills, challenge rape culture, and practice consent and bystander intervention skills.

  5. 1A Does BUTTON mean CATCH? in what context?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Very technical but lets say button is a subset of catch!

      Device to fasten,
      mechanical catch is a type of fastener that holds two or more objects together while still allowing them to be separated.

  7. 8d - {C}{RAFT}{S}{MAN}

    Co, start - C

    1. Rafts becomes plural. but the role of S ????

      Delete
    2. Rafts is plural but raftsman is singular. Person who transports rafts. Craftsman is smith but not smiths.

    3. One does not say, craftman, raftman etc. It is always craftsman, raftsman.
      My spell check is correcting craftman!!

    4. in dic..it is mentined as - raftman is noun & raftmen is plural. Now the point is what is the roll of S here. annotation of the clue @ 13;02

    5. Start is applied to Co (c). Then read small boat transporter entirely, which becomes raftsman. C meets raftsman which becomes craftsman.

    6. Yes. yur point may be valid.....but this was my actual take. setter to confirm the annotation
      8d - {C}{RAFT}{S}{MAN}
      Def. - Smith - someone who works at something specified
      Co, start - C
      small - S
      boat - RAFT
      transporter- MAN

  8. I got 8d as {AN}d {C}o start to {M}eet {S}mall boat = {RAFT} transported inside for CRAFTSMAN which is definition of a Smith

    1. start denotes only first letter. I perceive you substitute AN against of "&" symbol. However you can consider only A. Hence, you can't accommodate N

    2. Its a confused clue.
      Craft itself means boat.
      To seprate C and to make it small boat with s for small! Confusing solvers.

      Plus a wordplay on transport-er would be raft-er with verb raft meaning transport. Man would only be reverse engineered from solution.
