  2. I think we should not be led to think of LIME in MINERAL. LIME CORDIAL?

  3. In 16d, 'or' is a link between the wordplay and the def.
    It is one of several legitimate link words in crossword clues - such as in, and, of, for...
    As both mineral and cordial are drinks, the link sits well there.
