    1. Following resistance was the cause of the error.
My brother used to say that his handwriting was bad because his thinking was faster than hs writing! (pre computer days)

    2. Why pre-computer days? Even today, our minds think much faster than machines. Only thing is we don't use our mind nowadays.

    3. I meant about writing- no one writes these days.
Yes, computer/ phone memory increases and our memory decreases! We dont even know phone nos. or mail Id's of people with whom we are in touch daily (as we used to)

    4. I totally agree. In fact, my hands are paining if I write two sentences!

    5. I do write a lot , despite the computers. I agree, our mind runs faster. I al ways write the second letter in a word sooner than the first and have to invariably correct. I still doing my crossies on paper, occasionally using the white-out pen, which are ball- points as opposed to the earlier edition of brush messing up the correction. Incidentally, I had written tto the BIC makers to incorporate a white out pen on the other side, like we used to get pencils with erasers. Patent awaited ! As our worthy friend CV would agree, all crosswords in newspapers are in small prints . The Times of London is the actual and correct size. Computerised crossies are more orderly and Less human ! Makes our solving easier, no doubt. Can also lead to typo errors, due to the cues jumping on to the next block.

I still manage to keep writing pages and pages of Tamil in connection with some religious reading that I do. I managed to write a few 3 hour exam papers,of course in Tamil, conducted by Shastra University,Tanjore (but classes and exams in Chennai)

  6. Years ago during a visit to the US I bought in supermarket ball pens with eraser at the tip. Let me add that while it's good indeed, the ink would be rather faint and may fade ovtime in the heat of our country.
