Is your colour code for reference list entry new?
Anyway as one who sometimes uses colour in Excel sheet, I subsequently forget which shade of what intensity I used earlier.
I am sure you must have some secret for that. Anyway, congrats on excellent display.

  2. I must say -
On the flip side, too much of color and color text in color background makes it difficult to read for the aged.

    1. +1. If I may, keeping the solution letter plain capital would make for better reading.

  3. David wanted to become Goliath.

INDEED he was keen on EXPANSION of his operation in UNFAMILIAR territories.

And APPARENTLY there was no STIFF competition.

    His CRIMES increased, GALLOPING (IN)TO
    STEEP HISTORIC heights.

This ELEVATION did bring some TENSE moments...

    What happened next?

    1. But I itself means (the) first..
If we write Class 1, it is Class One.
If we write Class I, it is Class (the) First, not One.
We cannot write I Class for First Class
We can write it as 1st Class.
Please can anyone confirm if my understanding is correct?
      School teachers might help, perhaps!

    4. CV sir, I think we can writ I class. We cannot write I st class. I studied I form. We get I class in the exam. We travel by I class. No st, or nd or rd after the Roman letters I, II and III.respectively.

    2. I did intend it as a (T) type clue, with essentially as the indicator - The anagram doesn't work, it has an extra P and an O less.

    1. Maybe the setter could have done with "?" only; But with "perhaps", the definition by example and that too a cryptic one is reinforced.
