NOTABLE(19Ac) EIGHTY(23Dn) my favs
ReplyDeleteGood puzzle.19ac is clued very well. I also like 24ac and 31ac.
ReplyDeleteTook a while to get 24A. The inverted commas confused me further.
Delete12A- Is any containment indicator needed?
ReplyDeleteM (aciting around E)
If my memory is right Around as "round about" combining both anaind and c/c was used earlier but looks too complicated for a incognito puzzle. (The puzzle btw As usual served as "chitti neti idli"(micro idli dipped in loads of gheee).
DeleteAmazing Incognito Today's Grid. what a math substitution the puzzle 23D...!!!! bit confused at starting. I got the word Eight but the word "Daily" contains the whole stuff. simply superb. very interesting....... setter has concealed the maths operation. whether addition or multiplication.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed again Incgnito's clues! 24A clever,19A troubled a lot. Joe's father was confusing, what is the connection?
ReplyDeleteNot Jos- Joey's. Joey is the young one of a kangaroo.
ReplyDeleteBTW only female kangaroos have pouches
DeleteMy first encounter with 'score' meaning 20 was long ago in school reading Lincoln's Gettysburg speech ("Four score and seven years ago ...")
