  18. Theme well recognised, Colonel. Nice to see that you have marked TONS too. I am sure as a Gentleman CADET you were STUDYING to become an Officer and OBEYED orders. Maybe the menu had MOOLI too. Tell me, is the Sword of Honour an EPEE? I am not certain of that...

    1. This was meant to be published around Army Day or Republic Day. But at least it made it in January.

    2. very nice puzzles and got to know the new words TONS and EPEE. Thanks to Col and setter.

    3. The Sword given out as the Sword of Honour is not an Epee. An epee is thin and flexible unlike a sword which is broader and rigid

    4. Aah, thanks for the clarification. So my inclusion of EPEE is FOILed.

      Time to Beat the Retreat...

Luckily it made it at least on the day for this...

    5. Epee is typically used in the sport- a game with Rules difficult to follow.

    6. What is the difference between a foil and an epee?
      1. While a foil is light and flexible, an epee is heavy. When the foil is a light-thrusting sword, the epee is a heavy-thrusting sword. 2.In the case of both fencers hitting at the same time, the “right of way” is used for determining the points in fights using a foil sword.May 11, 2011
Not very far off the mark- only "fil" would have been.
