Thank you El Commandante
ReplyDeleteWe should be grateful if the identity of El Commandante is made known. He had created a stupendous grid with a great message. No doubt, computer software has made this possible. Why should he not come out of the closet (literal and not figurative )and take a bow? He has debuted here in the new year and shouldn't wait for another occasion. If every one chooses to remain with a pseudonym , there won't be any inventors known !
ReplyDeleteOn a post- mortem, firstly, 61 across should be BALTIC SEA and not BALLIC SEA.For the sake of good records, Col may please correct it. I keep copies of all such unusual crossies and hence the request.
A few new words but again, hardly used, are also learnt. When will we ever stop learning when it comes to cryptic crosswords ? POST CHAISE and CHAISE LOUNGE are so unrelated but sound the same.
All in all, a wonderful beginning for 2017.
Superb grid :). Enjoying it thoroughly
